Lets go Cruising

It is that time of the year.. we are getting amped up for the opportunity to roll our windows down and feel the breeze as we drive through back roads.  Or better yet on our way to an unknown destination, or a weekend get away.  However in order to do those things we always make sure our car is capable right?  In a matter of fact besides those wonderous moments, we maintain our vehicle regularly so it won't break down on us.  We make sure the oil is changed, it has tune ups, tires and we have to be sure gas is in the tank.  We know that if we have something broken we need to get it fixed or it turns into something bigger, or even more broken parts.  This is common sense, so my question is why do so many of us not look at our bodies the same way?

"A diseased body is like a car that has run out of gas.  No matter how well its components are maintained, it will not run without fuel to power its engine.  Similarly, when cellular energy is lacking, even a body that appears healthy from the outside will struggle to sustain its internal processes." (-Dr. Mercola)  Just the same as when your car is out of alignment it will wear out your tires. If you don't change its oil, or let the oil run low this will cause engine issues.  Similarly when your spine is out of alignment your body will start to have issues.  Being out of alignment causes pain, sickness and disease to your organs.

We need to maintain our bodies the same as we do our vehicles.  Eating healthy provides proper fuel for your body to regenerate and heal.  Getting adjusted keeps your spine aligned and removes pressure on your nervous system which controls everything about you.  It controls how your organs function, how your cells respond, how your tissue will heal or reproduce.  Chiropractic care is a critical component in maintaining a healthy lifestyle; to living a longer and more active lifestyle.
