Transformation Update

Hey there everyone,

So as you know I have been doing the new year new you transformation not resolution.  My sleeping is schedule is not sound but improved by a long shot. Especially the fact that when I lay down to sleep it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep.  I still get stuck and end up going to bed later than desired but it happens far less and my goal hasn't changed so I hope that my new routine will fall into place eventually. So not only have I made changes for myself I also made changes for my kids.  They are 16 and 13, girls, they have to be off there phones or any tech 1 hour before bed.  They also need to put them on the kitchen table and not have them in their rooms over night.  They surprisingly didn't give me too much push back or attitude about it.  My kids also already have no tech Tuesday and no tech Thursdays, so they aren't completely absorbed as much as the common teen.

Anyway, I started with my diet changes.. not just for me but our household.  I have been doing better again at meal prep and making homemade dinners with as much organic and non GMO products as possible.  I also have not had snacks available regularly, besides fruits and veggies.  I notice if I have veggies pre-cut and put in single serving baggies... the kids just grab the bag and stack on the veggies easily.  I started this because knowing from personal experience while I have done detox's or a cleanse, having your fruits and veggies prepped and ready for easy on the go snack it makes it so much easier to chose that then a granola bar, or other easy snack.

I actually am doing the standard process 10 day detox right now, I will be done on Wednesday.  And once I am done the detox, I plan to start incorporating  a regular exercise regimen.  I feel like I am at a point now with the diet changes that I can add something new.  I wouldn't recommend making too many changes all at once when you are trying to make transformations.  You want to be sure to set realistic goals, this makes it much easier to change for good and not just temporarily.  And my plan is to continue with my main focus on the sleeping, then the diet, then exercise... so if I fall behind or forget.. it will be whats new, and I can continue to work on that until I get it down.  I just don't want to lose the progress with the other things I have already made changes with, I want them to become my new normal.  It is now mid March, so I am on pace with about 1 change per month. And I hope that by June I will have 3 new transformations that have become a part of my daily routine!

Good Luck to anyone who has or is making healthy lifestyle changes!! I am routing for you and your progress, just remember don't give up.  :-)
