My New Year Transformation

For any reader who didn't see my last blog, I am taking a journey to create healthy habits to transform myself with the new year. I spoke of healthy life choices, like chiropractic, diet, exercise, stress and sleep.  I set realistic goals and am starting with one goal at a time, I started with better sleep.

So I just wanted to pop on and give an update on my sleep transformation. It's been a week, and so far I have stuck to my new routine more days then not. I have a good educational book that I have started. And on the days I accomplish my mission I have the kids settled and I am ready to lay down by 10pm.  Then I read my book until I feel tired, I noticed I get 4-8 pages before I'm ready to call it a night. **TIP** I have a nice little yellow reading light attached to my headboard also, this light is supposed to help with eyes and help allow your body to settle. 

I noticed that I fall asleep fairly easy after reading and I'd say I am asleep by 11pm, sometimes earlier. I get up at 6:30 so that gives me 7 1/2 hours. And I have to say the way I feel in the morning, is amazing in comparison to the nights I am still going to sleep after midnight.  So I have to continue and try to get better, I am going to consider some things that prevent me from completing my goal, and get a better schedule planned, a more specific schedule. Now that I have an idea of what I need to do and how to get there. 

I actually look forward to this becoming a healthy habit.. a healthy transformation.  I hope that you have been working on something to help you become healthier with this new year, new you transformation. :-)  Oh yes, I seen this great article that made so much sense, I am also going to incorporate in my evenings before bed. Giving affirmations after an evening prayer.  Or just before you fall asleep if you don't pray before bed.  Saying things like, I am healthy, I am happy, I have a home, I have food, I love my children, my family.. My children are happy, my children are healthy.... really anything good you can think of, things your grateful for. Say them out loud!  This is supposed to set up your subconscious mind and what you manifest, it stops the "thinking of everything under the sun" and what you may dream of. So we'll see :-)
